The Liquor Laws of the Province of Ontario and Club policies govern members and guests. Any questions regarding these laws and policies applicable to the Club premises should be directed immediately to the General Manager. Should the Club suffer any penalty or liability by reason of a breach of these laws by a member or a member’s guest(s), such member shall indemnify the Club to the full extent thereof.

Mission Statement
Thornhill Golf & Country Club will serve members and guests in a responsible, friendly and professional manner. Staff is on hand to assist members and guests in their decision to drink in moderation and, where appropriate, avoid drinking activities that put the members and guests at harm or risk. Management is committed to adhere to all liquor laws.  Members and guests that fail to adhere to all liquor laws and Club policies or interfere with staff attempting to carry out their duties and responsibilities in accordance to the House policies and Smart Serve Training guidelines will be subject to disciplinary action as stated in the Club’s By-law 2-08.

Cellular Telephones
Cell phones and pagers should at no time affect the enjoyment of members and guests at the Club.

We request that cell phones and pagers be turned to the vibrate mode while visiting the Club.  The use of cell phones will not take place in the Clubhouse, patios, golf shop or areas where members are assembled, unless it is a medical emergency.  The use of devices that have e-mail capability are permissable provided they do not adversely affect other members or guests using club facilities.  Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests adhere to this policy.

The deposit may be paid to the Club, or the sponsoring member’s account number may be charged for the deposit. In the event of cancellation received less than 30 days prior to the event, the deposit will be forfeited, or the sponsoring member’s account will be charged, unless a substitute reservation is made.
